I can’t get over how popular the Juan Ekis play Twenty Questions is. Don’t get me wrong - I’m not implying that the script isn’t good. I’m simply amazed at how many people, over a year after the script was written, post about it on their blogs (additional link here) or spread copies of it through e-mail. I’m just… well… I’m at a loss for words.
I’m not really sure what my point is for this entry. Part of it is just what I said - I amazed at the popularity of this play. The other, more imortant part is the plain and simple fact that I would love to see it staged.
It has been more than a year since Twenty Questions won second prize in the 2003 Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature. It is a tragedy that it has yet to hit the stage. I sincerely hope it does so soon.
