Jayvee has his filters, but so what? If you know how to use Photoshop or other image editing programs out there, you can replicate the effects of his filters.
Case in point, the image on the right. It looks similar to Jayvee’s pictures, right? We’ve got the color and the vignetting down, and we have full control. Why bother with filters then?

The good people over at Shutter Box Philippines sure are nice - they told me that the Sigma APO 200-500mm f/2.8 EX DG wasn’t the biggest lens around. Being the know-it-all that I am, of course, I scoffed and said that that I knew that already. Well, I didn’t say it, but I’m saying it now. I’m sure you’ll all agree with me - the Hubble Space Telescope is the biggest, not to mention the most expensive lens around.
I’m not kidding, but yes, as they say in the vernacular, I’m being pilosopo. To those who don’t speak Filipino, I guess the closest translation for that is that I’m being a smart-ass.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, let me get straight to the point. The Sigma I posted about a couple of weeks ago isn’t the largest lens. Do you want to know what trumps it?

Yup, I’m selling my camera and all photography related equipment I have. The only cameras I think I’ll keep are those on my phones.
I’ll post a price list later or tomorrow.

I saw an article in my feed last week about the Sigma APO 200-500mm f/2.8 EX DG - I ignored it. I was so busy writing about WordPress 2.1.2, Sony’s monsters, and other photography news that I didn’t realize just how big this was.
It’s a good thing Rico emailed me about it - this thing is huge! I mean, it’s colossal.
You want to know how big? Words escape me now, just read on to see what I pasted from the original article.
