I could have let the issue go then - after all, I didn’t expect to receive any more SPAM comments on the topic. Damn! I was wrong. Just this morning, I found another comment - no, I found the same comment in my inbox.
Again, expletives are flying through my mind, but I’ll try to avoid them. Instead, I’m just going to pick apart your comment. [more…]

A few days ago, I received two comments on my post on the Blog @ Soul launch at Mrs. Fields. Normally, I wouldn’t mind - comments are good. Heck, comments are great.
The thing is, these so called comments had nothing to do with the post. They had no connection at all with The Blog and Soul Movement, Mrs. Fields, or even anything I’ve written about.
I shared my irritation with Rico over email, and he pretty much articulated all my thoughts on the matter over at the BBN.
I don’t think I would be as diplomatic as Rico was, so once again, I’m letting somebody else do the talking for me.

A series of gigs entitled KEEP YOUR PROMISES will be launched on Saturday May 19. These are small gatherings of young voters (disenfranchised voters included) to have their voices heard. That we demand the fulfillment of promises made by candidates during the elections.
Now that we’ve done our part and voted our preferred candidates into office, it’s time for the step up and deliver on their campaign promises.
I love the whole idea and the idealism behind the event. You see, it’s too easy to lose hope in this country, but seeing people care enough to organize events like this gives me hope. Reading what other bloggers have to say gives me hope. Knowing how you care about this country gives me hope.
The thing is, like I mentioned before, I’m still a cynic. Yes, I kept bloggingabouttheelections, but I always felt like it was too little. Yes, blogging gave me a reach beyond my immediate circle of friends, but it still wasn’t enough.
I wonder why our own political ads couldn’t be more like this. I admit - it doesn’t really present any tangible solutions to Argentina’s ills, but it’s still so much better than any crappy jingle Philippine politicians use.

Someofyou, I’m sure, arewonderingwho a certain “bear” is - you’ve already asked. Some others, I bet, are also curious, but too shy to ask. Still some others, I guess, are wondering what the hell I’m talking about.
If you’ve been following the comments on some of my recent posts, you will know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t been paying that much attention, then too bad for you. I’m not going to fill you in.
You see, while this blog masquerades as a technology blog most of the time, it still is my personal blog. Yes, I’ve decided to try and stick to specific topics, but the fact remains - this is my personal blog. What does that mean? I can post whatever I want. It’s my blog, and I choose what to write about.

For some reason, I can’t think of anything to write. I wrote something earlier about pushing ringtones, but I decided to post in on Mobile Philippines instead. I’m not sure if it’s up already thereIt’s up there already, but that’s not what’s important. What matters is that I have nothing to write on my personal blog.
What also matters is the reason for this mental block. I think I can blame this on Sango. I was there this afternoon and now, three hours later, I still feel stuffed. My brain has been starved of oxygen because all my blood is rushing to my gut.
Oh well. There are much better things to do than blog on a Sunday.
Rico asked recently where +639212559221 got his number. I can’t answer his question, but I can definitely come up with other questionable numbers.
