Timbuk2I don’t own one, but I’m a fan of Timbuk2’s line of bags. I toyed with the idea of building my own Timbuk2 bag a few years ago when I got my laptop, but I ended up with something I could get locally.

Like I said though, I’m still a fan, so when I received an invitation to the launch of their Blogger Bag, I braved the Friday night Makati traffic and trooped over to Outback in Glorietta 4.

Did I finally get a Timbuk2 bag? Not really - I took home a goodie bag, but that doesn’t count. I could have won the one they raffled off, but nope - that bag went to Anton.

So what did I get from the launch? Read on…

For some reason, I can’t think of anything to write. I wrote something earlier about pushing ringtones, but I decided to post in on Mobile Philippines instead. I’m not sure if it’s up already there It’s up there already, but that’s not what’s important. What matters is that I have nothing to write on my personal blog.

What also matters is the reason for this mental block. I think I can blame this on Sango. I was there this afternoon and now, three hours later, I still feel stuffed. My brain has been starved of oxygen because all my blood is rushing to my gut.

Oh well. There are much better things to do than blog on a Sunday.

You’ve read about shooting fireworks and you’ve seen a few (not quite so impressive) samples of fireworks I’ve shot. Now it’s time for you to take some of your own.

Anton of Our Awesome Planet and blogging top dog Yuga have organized a PhotoBloggers’ Session focused on, you guessed it, shooting fireworks. The perfect venue for this, of course, is the World Pyro Olympics. Don’t have tickets? No problem.

Blogging Resolutions

While reading through my entries over the past year, I noticed that I didn’t really reveal much about me. This, of course, came as no surprise - there were a number of things I did opt not to write about. It was, however, slightly disappointing. Looking back, I think I could have written a few extra entries.

I’m not saying that the past year was totally useless. I’m sure at least a number of the past year’s entries are worth remembering. Let me name a few.

February’s only entry was about the birth of my nephew Anton. I’m not quite sure why I didn’t write much then, but this month is memorable because of this.

April Fool’s Day only comes once a year, and while I didn’t really pull any pranks, I did get some people thinking.

On a related note, pictures from the one true story in my April Fool’s Day entry enjoyed 15 minutes of fame. How often do you get to see a tree perched on a car?

Movie Love. Click here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and even here.

I asked a lot of stupid questions last year. I had random questions, more questions, more random questions, and even more random questions.

Just over 3 months ago, I published my 100th blog entry. I’m not quite sure what my total is now, but the number doesn’t really matter, right?

The months of November and December were so hectic that I have no idea what to highlight. I believe the archives for the respective months speak volumes.

Now, reading through what I’ve just written, it seems I haven’t tackled what I intended to write about. What, exactly, are my blogging resolutions?

I resolve to blog about the movies I watch. I probably won’t write reviews about them, but I want to at least have a log of what I’ve seen.

I want to keep a more permanent record of my dreams, but I’m not sure if I want to post that online. Anybody care to give me a nice journal for that?

I should reply to other people’s comments. I will try to do a better job of doing that.

I will… umm… err… I will end this post now. I can’t think of anything else to put here right now.

From left to right, these pictures are:
- a picture taken just a few hours ago with my vanishing friend’s phone. This was a few minutes before we went off to listen to Tito Al playing the sax.
- yet another picture of my nephew, Anton.
- a snapshot of a Saturday night spent in 7-Eleven.
- a shot of the men in the Cruz family. This was taken on my brother’s wedding day. That’s me on the left; Peter, the one who got married; my dad in the barong; the youngest, Milo; and my eldest brother, Ogs.
- a pic of me enjoying some ice cream with one of my favorite girls.
- a product of having way too much fun with a camera at the beach.
- my first (supposedly) artistic shot.
- a pic of me with my mom… the oldest picture I have saved on my computer.
