I mentioned it this morning and I’m saying it again - drivebyshooter.net is going to sleep.
After today, you can find me blogging over at LightChasers Photography, my studio’s new site, and the Dark Corner, my own little escape from work.
You want to follow me? Chase light with me, sit with me in my corner, or do both.
See you on the other side.

A year ago today, drivebyshooter.net first went online - that’s 365 days, 182 posts (plus this one) and god-knows-how-many comments ago.
Today, drivebyshooter.net is going to sleep. It’ll stay online, but I won’t be updating it anymore.
Instead, I’ll be blogging at the Dark Corner - that’ll be my personal site where I’ll write about anything I want - anything, that is, except photography.
If you want posts on photography, check out LightChasers Photography - that’s the site for my new studio. You can find my portfolio there too.
It’s been a great year - thank you all for riding with me. If you still want more of my images and photography tips, follow me as I chase light. If you just want to keep track of me and what little personal information I choose to share, look for me in my dark little corner.

I haven’t been posting much here on drivebyshooter.net, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy. The opposite, in fact, is quite true - I’ve been too busy to really pay much attention to my own site. Sad, right? It’s ok though - like I mentioned before, I’ve got a lot of things on my plate.

Yes, not only am I recycling images, I’m reusing titles. You see, I’ve got my hands full again. That’s why, up until a few minutes ago, I wasn’t replying to comments. Heck, up until this entry, I haven’t been writing much either. Yes, a number of posts before this were scheduled posts. Don’t you just love WordPress?
Anyway, I might be disappearing again. I actually just popped back in here for a breather. My plate is pretty full, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. I may be stick thin (not as thin as my friend over the left), but those who know me know that I’ve got quite an appetite.
If you want more blog posts from me, hope that I get cloned, or that I get my other projects done soon.
If you’re tired of hearing from me, then lucky you. My question though, is this: why are you reading this in the first place?
Anyway, that’s enough for now. Come back soon to see if I have updates. Better yet, subscribe to my feed so you’ll know when I post again.

Three months after I started drivebyshooter.net, I posted an entry on ways to check blog growth. That was sparked by Abe’s post on 5 Ways to Check Blog Growth.
That happened almost three months ago - and now that I’ve (almost) hit the half-year mark, I’m putting another notch on the kitchen door.

Jayvee discussed why he doesn’t use a feed reader, giving the analogy:
Would you rather talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend over the phone or meet up in person?
I would much rather have the latter, but here’s another thought:
When you meet up in person, don’t you make arrangements by phone first?
Your feeds are the calls or messages that say “come visit me.” Your feeds say that you’ve got something new to share with me.
Yes, I may visit without calling first - like Jayvee, I also like seeing your cool designs, visiting your links, and clicking at the different widgets you’ve got.
The thing is, I go there primarily for you, your thoughts, your posts. Everything else is secondary.
So, do you use a feed reader?
Luis, like Jayvee, encourages you to subscribe to his feed. You can click on his (Luis’ not Jayvee’s) feedreader chiclet to do so. Every time you subscribe, one of Jayvee’s bunnies will be shot (with a camera) in a drive by shooting.

Father Abraham may have started it, but it looks like the job of tracking the Top 100 Philippine Blogs is no longer his. He’s passing that torch to Andrew de la Serna.
You see, Andrew has taken Father Abraham’s top 100 list and given it a mind of its own. No longer manually updated, his new list is “electro-charged by über-geeky Technorati data sprinkled with Feedburner stats.” On top of that, his new list boasts of its own site.

Yes, Ratified.org, is the new place to see just where you stand in the Philippine Blogosphere.
Now, while I’m happy things are now automated, I’m also sad. I’m sad because I’m not in the top 100. I’m sad because according to Ratified.org, my Technorati rank has dropped 124 spots since yesterday. I’m sad because I’m not sure if Ratified.org is tracking my FeedBurner stats.
It’s ok though. I’m currently hovering just outside the top 100. I hope I can break in sometime soon.

I’ve got a bunch of little tidbits that don’t quite merit their own posts, so I’ve tossed them all here. Before you read on though, you might as well know - I’ve tweaked my site design. Click here or reload the page to see the changes. Now for the other news.
